What is my topic?
Learning how to apply and teach math effectively in real life.
Why did I choose this topic?
Since Freshman year I have wanted to do this topic. I've always been fascinated with math and how I can use it in real life, how directly I could use it, and all the different types of math. For a long time it has been my favorite subject until I found out about physics, in which I have a large interest in from a mathematical perspective. I enjoy learning how to employ my mathematical skills in ways that professionals do.
What do I hope to accomplish after studying this topic all year?
Firstly, I would like to have gotten a firmer grasp on math. Secondly, I would like to be able to teach math well and show others how fun and interesting it can really be! To a lot of people, math is a scary and agonizing thing to endure. It shouldn't be looked upon like that, and I would like to be able to help people past this way of thinking.
David- This looks like it has the potential to be a very exciting project.
